Amy Lee MDBorn in Hong Kong and settling in Seattle, Washington with her family at age five, Dr. Tsz Ying Amy Lee grew up in a family steeped in traditional nutrition. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle and obtained her Medical Degree (MD) at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (UIC). Under the guidance of a pediatric gastroenterologist at UIC, Lee developed a keen interest in obesity medicine. After completing her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Southern California (USC), she continued with research fellowship training in Clinical Nutrition and Obesity Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under the auspices of the renowned Endocrinologist, Dr. David Heber.

Dr. Lee is a board certified internist, practicing her subspecialty in clinical nutrition and medical weight management. Along with her foundation in traditional Internal Medicine, she provides guidance, direction and coaching for nutritional issues including disease prevention, treatment and care. Her philosophy in the medical management of her patient is treating the body as a complete unit, both mental and physical. Dr. Lee is active in the community with corporate wellness, providing continuing medical education, and even serves as an education board member in organizations such as the Aspartame Resource Center. On a local scale, she works with local businesses such as Crossfit Ganbatte and California Chef to implement nutrition recommendations and creating programs that benefit the community.
